TEXLAX

Wow, I can't believe its been a year since I posted. Well a lot has been going on with me in the past year. I got married, to the most wonderful man in the world and... With time you  will get to know the rest.
So about today's post, I have been grooming my hair for a while now and I have a full mass of long permed hair. Well recently, I have been battling between whether or not to go natural or just to go on with my bone straight hair. In fact I cut of some of my permed tresses dis year, telling myself I would gradually go natural. I ended up regretting it. Trust me, I admire those ladies in natural 'fros but I just can't bring myself to cutting off all this hair I have been grooming for years. So I went into research and came across the procedure of "TEXLAXING". Now,  some of  ÿ̲ou might ask "what planet has she been on that she just discovered texlaxing?" Lol.
So texlaxing is a process of relaxing hair, only you deliberately underprocess the hair so that you  don't get a bone straight hair rather, you  still get to retain some of your natural curls. And you get a fuller mass of hair than the completely processed hair. For me texlaxing was a more acceptable option.

So I'm starting my texlax journey today. Hope it works out well for me. will tell you guys how it goes. meanwhile here is what my hair looked like before my trim.

BOX BRAIDS UPDO: PICTURE TUTORIAL

I'm not really a "braids person". Usually, I just prefer weavons since it takes less time to install  but this year i decided to go all out and be different with what i do on my hair. So right now, I'm rocking box braids and am loving every bit of it cos you get to style it in so many different ways. So i have here a picture tutorial of one of the many styles i wear my braids.

Step 1: Gather your braids in a high ponytail.

Step 2: Part ponytail in 3 equal parts and mat into pigtails, leaving out about 3 strands.

Step 3: Take the 3 strands left out to wrap around the band used to hold ponytail. (this step is not necessary but i just don't like the band to be seen).

Step 4: Take one of the three pigtails around your head from front to back. Just where you want it. Do the same for the second and third, putting one directly after the other till you're done with all three. secure them properly with bobby pins.

 Annnddd............. the final look.

This updo is versatile as you can wear it on both traditional and English outfit. Much love, ciao

CHEAP CAN BE BEAUTIFUL: Expression ViVi Curls Review

Hi guys, just like the title of the post says, i believe that you don't have to spend a lot of cash to look good. don't get me wrong, i know that good things cost money and am all for the best but I also believe that there are good looks you could have without having to break the bank.

That being said, today am doing a review of the Expression Vivi Curls synthetic hair.

PACKAGING: There is nothing special about the packaging of this product. Its just the regular packaging of expression products.

HAIR: The contents of the package is 2 bulks of 8 inches long curly synthetic hair. The strands are soft and easy to work with and has some shine to it though you need to oil it from time to time. I wore this hair for about 4 weeks. After about a week or thereabout, you begin to see beards that you need to trim off regularly if u don't want it looking like a sponge on your head. All in all, if you can deal with the regular trims, it is a good product for the price. And you get to wear it in different styles as you can see on the packaging. You can see how i wore mine in the pictures.
